I just changed the resolution from 144 dpi to 72 dpi.

Question about the cam type seaters. I have only made and used lever type seaters, most of which give a substantial mechanical advantage. How do the cam seaters compare in mechanical advantage? They look to be simpler to make than some I have spent too much time on.

I make a cam style seater for high walls.  They have excellent leverage.  I have encountered only one bullet that I could not seat.  It was 28 cal and had a full diameter nose close to 1" long.  If I cast in pure lead it would seat very hard.  I balance the cam diameter with its clearance.  Larger diameters would most likely have more leverage but can cause issues especially with tang sights.

Someone did some research on cast bullet bullet runout in fixed BP 45-70 ammo and wrote an article in Black Powder News about 10 years ago. Below is a table from his article. Seems maybe a little extreme but runout causes significant inaccuracy so whether in fixed ammo or with the bullet seated in the barrel the bullet must be concentric with the bore for best accuracy. Drives me crazy trying to get low runout with my fixed 38-55 but I am still working on it trying to find the magic.

An accomplished gunsmith told me that, when it comes to breech seaters, the most important relevant detail is getting the bullet started perfectly straight. Yes I know that sounds rudimentary but if started ever so slightly askew accuracy will suffer.
