those that have a chamber and throat 'designed' to fit a particular bullet shape my have an advantage and ability to place the depth of engraving at their chosen place. Great if you have a rifle rebarreled, but for us who enjoy getting what we can from a variety of factory chambers the old advice and practice is simply going to need experiments. Call it fun, and keep track of the results it can be a great teacher for the given tube, but some may pertain to another down the road. The big idea is to have fun even if you don't match that dedicated bench gun's ability. Works for me.

I don't know whether this will work for everyone. but I seat my bullets, regardless of type, like a stopper. Then I put in a primed case (no powder) and pop the cap.  If I just get a little pop, I open the block and the case ejects smartly from the store pressure.  Adjustment finished! Mark your seater and lock adjustment.
