Me too... You know when this is your hobby and passion or any hobby for that matter a person can accumulate quite a lot of "stuff" over time. This person looks like he may have been at it for a good while.

I'm pushing 80yrs old.  As such, over the last 5 years or more, I've been unloading a bunch of stuff on this forum, eBay & GunBroker, including several "safe queen" firearms on GunBroker & Guns International.  Plus giving away & selling stuff to family & friends.  At one time I had well over $1000 just in Browning BPCR replacement parts alone.  So do this poor old guy a favor and buy some of those cheaply priced books I currently have listed in the For Sale / Trade section. Roll Eyes

When I finally kick the bucket, my wife & kids won't know what to do with all that remails.  It will likely be given away.

Wayne, I can certainly sympathize.  I suspect my accumulations would make you look like a minimalist amateur however.  But, as my wife says, it's self inflicted.

I make a somewhat interesting business out of buying estates, closeouts, bankruptcies, etc.

I get some astoundingly big estates.  I'm working on one now that increased the rifles in my safe by 140+.  There are 4 storage units (10x30 ft) full, much of it guns, ammo and knives.  I have a max payload full size Ford pickup.  I filled it to the sagging/running uphill weight limit with ammo, and barely touched the pile.  The estate executor says there's several times that many guns in one of the other storage units.

The one thing I do well is get rid of lower end stuff first.  I sell the odd lots, the incomplete bullet boxes, the low end guns that I don't want off first.  My objective is if I die unexpectedly, the remaining stuff will be easier to auction off by my wife/kids.  A lot of the things I have on ebay continuously is stuff like in the auction you referenced.

Sometimes I look at the entire mess and think "I wish I could just make this disappear, all at once, immediately, and have the money instead".  Keep about 10 rifles, 6 handguns, and molds and reloading stuff for them, along with minimal shooting equipment.

But, I then immediately realize that is exactly how I got in this situation.  I'm the magic wand, that makes all of it disappear, all at once, and get replaced by money.  It's an incredible relief to many of the executors of the estates.  But, transfers that burden to my shoulders.  As my wife says, self inflicted.

I know all too well about this affliction. I have about 100 bullet molds and still think that I need more.

For the last few years I've been taking bins full of stuff like that to our local gun show to sell. Some has gone away over those years, but not always sold. Sometimes little things like that just disappear during a show, even when I've got $1-$2 each for scope rings. Guess some just like the thrill of trying to get things for free!
I've offered all of them to guys at small prices, but seems others are smarter than me and don't want more of the same thing.
