Best so far...

Never have I had cases come out of the tumbler so clean and so quick.

The cases were loaded about 2008. Used a bunch up at the BPCRS match on Saturday. The bowl cleaner was right there and man oh man did it work. Dish soap cannot hold a candle to it. I may be a slow learner but I finally did something right.

Tumbled one hour with SS steel pins. My first thought was, HOLY CRAP, BATMAN!  Cheesy

Did you use the stuff straight or mixed with water?  If the latter, what ratio?

Water and the bowl cleaner. One big ole squirt of bowl cleaner. About an inch of water over the cases.

One of these days you will run out of 15+ years old loaded ammo Wes.  You had better Bruch up on how to reload again.  You may have forgotten.

Managed to scrounge up 52 rounds.

A few chicken loads, a few ram loads and I don't know what the rest were. When the bullets stuck out the furthest I figured they must be ram loads. The spotter would say that one went low. Another would go high. Managed to eke out 17 hits.

Had the new RL Ballard for show and tell. When Ron wasn't looking I shot chickens with it. Got some funny looks but nobody said anything. Got 3 chickens. With brass that clean I should start using that rifle more. At least my ammo will look good. Never had brass come out looking like new. The insides are sparkling clean too.

My BP loads get that clean with ceramic media, Lemishine and dish soap, but they don't start out that bad.

Tried this in my Thumblers Tumbler with stainless pins on brass that I would consider throwing away because the insides were so bad. I was a little concerned about the hydrochloric acid content and considered a baking soda rinse but I like to keep things simple and I will keep an eye on them and continue to watch for any harmful effects. As Westerner said "Never have I had cases come out of the tumbler so clean and so quick."

Soon as I got home from the match yesterday I was excited to deprime and tumble my 45-90 brass using the Lysol Lime and Rust bowl cleaner. This time I used Dawn dish soap and the Lysol.
To my surprise the brass looks like it is nickel plated. Is that cool or what? I have no idea if it damages the brass so I'll use the brass at the next match.
Tumbled one hour with SS pins. Super clean.

Dang, Jose', that's amazing, but I think you ought to let somebody else shoot that rifle using the silvery cases before you do it yourself. You must have a fellow around that doesn't read this forum's postings. The innocent dupe.
I wonder why nothing like this has been seen before- I mean never. I would be leary of such a transformation myself.

Lack of edjumacation, Pat. To dumb to not a be a daredevil.

Farmer logic tells me the brass in a deluted solution for only one hour will not damage it.  When rinsing the brass there was nothing but dirty black water. No vapors or steam or radio active clouds to detect.

I did take chemistry classes in HS. Not that that makes me any smarter than your average farmer, out standing in his field...
