My question is will the C. Sharps and or the Shiloh Sharps rifles chambered in 40-70 straight chamber cases made from Hornady or Bertram 405 wcf  without altering the case head or the rim ?

In my C Sharps 1874 with the 405 brass, it is trim to length, run through the sizing die (only before first firing), and load. No issues with the rim. The .410 Snover from you, load right up.
