I came into these two 219 Improved Zipper rifles built by A.R. Hartung of Pomeroy, Ohio. One rifle has a Unertl 20x scope, the other one has a Weaver K10 60-B scope. I know all about the optics. What I don't know is anything about the rifle and their value, and who out there collects such guns. There are a few companies out there that still make 219 zipper ammo, although I don't have any real interest in using these guns. The Rifle with the Unertl has been buffed so hard the SN is partially gone. The names on the rifle barrels look like the guns were made for father & son or maybe two brothers as they have the same last names. Thanks for any information.

Hartung did very nice work - I’ve seen his single shot rifles and they are well done pieces.  He also pioneered some wildcard cartridge as well.  

Zipper brass is very hard to find anymore - most of us form our own brass from 30/30 or 25/35 parent cases.  There are many improved zippers as well - while the ackley is probably the most common.  You need to do a chamber casting to find out which you have.
