Since it is not a single shot there is probably little interest here except that Marlinguy had dozens of them before he discovered that Marlin also made Ballards;-) I seem to remember having had one in 38-55 way back when.

Not sure what you're looking for with no real question? I shot at most of the Sagebrush Longshot shoots, and a number of guys shot both single shots and lever guns in .38-55 cartridge. None shot a long distance using an 1893 since overall length dictates using a 255 gr. bullet to be able to cycle through the action. But one of the guys did extremely well using a 315 grain bullet in a Winchester Model 1885 Traditional Hunter at 1000 yds.
