Page Lewis action

It has become difficult for me to place small silver solder bits along with flux to silver solder the parts of a Page Lewis action.  I am considering using a paste instead. The paste for hard solder combines the silver and the flux and flows at 1200 degrees. Parts thickness up to 1/2". Is this a good idea?

Never tried the paste but it should work. Never had any luck with chips of silver solder next to the joint. They always float away.
Had the best luck with the parts well fluxed and lightly clamped. Silver solder needs a little room so not real tight.
Heat the assembly to temperature. Red is too hot. Touch the joint with silver solder wire. It will suck in and spread. Repeat the touches until there is a nice silver line all around the joint. Let the assembly air cool.

I have done a lot of silver soldering but am willing to make it easier if I can! Being able to apply solder and flux pre mixed would help. Thanks, Chuck.
