I’ve had very good performance out of the Lee C312-185 1R Double Cavity Mold and Lyman 303cal 200g #314299 (.314d) Double Cavity Mold.  Both throw .313-.315 diameter bullets (depending on alloy) and shoot decently through my .303 SMLE’s.  The Lee mold is cheaper, and I actually prefer that bullet over the Lyman mold.  Both are gas check bullets, but I powder coat them and haven’t used a gas check in years.

when available again I suggest  the NOE "316"299.It fits the generous leade in most 303 rifles.

Gaschecks...I don't  need no stinking  Gaschecks..

Another excellent mold is the Lyman/Ideal 311413 "Squib Bullet". Most will cast .313-.314, unless it marked "U".

Anything that would work well in the Krag would do well in the .303. I like 311284, 311299. 311274,, 311290. Any of the Lyman .30s that weight in the 200-220 grain class.

I haven't found the rifle yet. I know it's stashed here somewhere. I haven't seen it in years. It's a 1905 Ross with the "modified chamber". When I find it I'll take the proper measurements. I may have a mould or two that will work but was interested in hearing what others were using. I'm sure I will also need a 303 neck sizer. Anyone have one sitting around?
