Last week end's auctions

There were several actions this last weekend. What did you win? I spent my wad on a Ballard a couple of actions ago, so I sat on my hands all weekend and have nothing new for show and tell, but would like to see yours.

Also spent my wad on a Ballard three weeks ago. Lucked out for once. Took a gamble as I thought it was a 32-40 that someone had built. Turned out to be a forged action, nice new 32-40 barrel and custom wood.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

Saving my gun funds for the CGCA show in Greeley, Co. mid May, so trying not to spend any. But even avoiding auctions the good stuff just keeps coming to me! Later this week an O.A. Bremer Maker Ballard scheutzen rifle should land here that an old friend offered me and I couldn't pass up. It takes funds from the CGCA show, but doubt I'd find anything as neat there!

Picked up this forged Ballard from the Clark Ehlers collection at Rock Island.  Beautiful Schuetzen buttstock and highly figured wood.  No markings on barrel but it is on the shorter and heavier side with scope blocks.  DST and is chambered in 22 Hornet.  Really neat rifle!

Not really sure, but I assume the OP may be referring to the Poulin Auction of last Saturday.

What I managed to see was a fair number of items going for very reasonable prices. I myself won a 1952 S&W Combat Masterpiece, but I didn’t know it until this morning! I missed seeing that revolver’s lot be completed, and when I went back I couldn’t access the system due to some sort of issue with my iPad.

Since I hadn’t received any notice, I assumed it went higher than my bid. So I was surprised to discover that my 400 dollar offer was the high bid.

It is unfortunately wearing a set of Crimson Trace laser grips, but I’m pretty sure I can peddle those on eBay for around a 100 bucks, so I’m pretty satisfied. I have more than one set of K-frame grips here to take their place!
