Assra has some prints for 1874 sharps I think thay also have prints for some tang sights

Are you talking about the actual 1851 Slant Breech Sharps? Or a Sharps tang sight in general?

yes any tang sight with single post as opposed to the 2 screw bracket that seems to pulverise my finger

That Sharps sight is pretty neat, and rare too. I sure have never seen one before the pictures here. 
But, Szot, have you ever just laid your thumb alongside the base instead of wrapping it around the wrist of the stock? I find my shooting improves the less I 'manhandle' the gun. If I could fire one without touching it at all I might end up a decent shot.

That was pointed out to me years ago. When your trigger finger moves so does you thumb want to. Having it lay alongside your sight helps your shooting and the condition of your thumb.
