Sharps Rifle Tumbler Issue

I’m putting a Sharps rifle together from C Sharps parts, while fitting the receiver and lock onto a stock I got from Mike Bassett I noticed the last spur on the tumbler is broke off. It still functions and catches the sear but has definitely snapped off at some point. I guess I’ll be contacting C Sharps tomorrow and see if they’ll send me one. This is a new action I bought from a member off here so there’s no warranty I’m sure.

That is the problem I have had with 4140 steel tumblers and hammers.
Went to casehardened mild steel and the problem went away.

Where did you get a tumbler to replace it with?

Chris,
C Sharps will sell you a new tumbler. I just recently bought a sear from them. No warranty like Shiloh. $40 for the sear.

Ordered a new one from CSharps this morning, $88 total, I've no idea how this could happen as it was never mounted, or used, I bought the action from a member here and he bought it new from CSharps, everything was still packaged up. One of those details you don't notice till you start taking everything apart.
