Fill the case up with Swiss 1.5 to where the bottom of the seated bullet will be. add a 0.030 wad and compress slightly.  Seat the bullet to just touch the wad and give it a try.  Then try slightly less powder and a 0.060 wad.  Then try slightly less with a 0.030 and a 0.060 wad.  You get the picture.  I like to take the powder to the range in pre-measured blood sample vials and compress by hand with my Shiloh Sharps compression die and finger seat the bullets.  That way you can try all sorts of combinations at the range to see what works.  Remember to clean between different loads and dry the barrel with a few clean patches. Ole Enysford fffg works good in my 40 caliber rifles but is not available.  Tom
