I will be following this as well. And if anyone has a schematic of the Peregrine 33 rifle/action, I would be much obliged if I could get a copy. Regards, Chris

I don't have a diagram that your looking for but I do have the original document that came with the rifle I scanned as a PDF.  Unfortunately, it's too large to post.
If you or anyone else wants my scan, I would be happy to share, and if someone can shrink it down to post here, so much the better.

Check with Laurie at the ASSRA Archives as he is trying to get Peregrine information all together and may not have this.

Would it work to thread the barrel shank off center to line up the rim fire cartridge rim with the firing pin?

We really cannot move the firing pin location in the breech block without mucking up the mann-neidner firing pin system used on this action, and we cannot change the linkage system to raise or lower the block to line up the pin with the rim of the rf case as it controls the relationship of the hammer to the sear.

Boy, you got that right. The extractor is always a source of great interest in a falling block! Look closely before cutting! At least it will have to be modified for the cartridge change. Off hand I do not see a need to modify the receiver or the breech block. I hope!
