Hello all, new here on these groups but a long time single shot enthusiast. A couple pics of one of my favorites. An early 1885 with single set trigger. It was originally a 38-55, the barrel has a thick wall liner and is chambered in 22 Hornet. Work was preformed by C.C. Johnson Thackery Ohio. Apologies for the photo quality, it's nit my thing.

Welcome.  Nice old high wall.  I have a .22 Hornet HW as well.  It is fun to shoot.  18 high walls and counting.

This one has a very slow twist. 50 grain bullets shot full choke patterns, with 1/2 sideways.  45G grouped better at 2-3". 36G go in tiny little groups.
