Fecker Scope Ring Dovetail Size

I purchased a pretty nice Fecker scope and discovered the mounts were not close to sliding on a standard Unertl size dovetail. After  2 hours of meticulous filing with a dovetail file I got them to fit. Just wondering if anyone has like experience with old Fecker scopes.

That is normal.  Here is what Steve Earle offers for Fecker mounts.  I did just what you did so I can use standard blocks.

I own a few Fecker scopes and I usually take down the blocks to fit the Fecker rings instead of taking metal off the Fecker rings. Fecker are my favorites of all the quality old target scopes. I love the center adjustment!

Thanks Gentlemen. I see Steve Earle also makes a dovetail mount that will fit my Haenel Aydt rifle if I wanted to mount a period scope.
