Does anyone have a chart with hole spacing for tang sights? I had one but seem to have lost it during computer crash. Thanks.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

I don't have a "chart", but I do have a few books listing tang spacing for various old single shots. Is there a specific rifle you need spacing details for?

Marlin and Ballard 1.125"
Stevens 1.5"
Winchester 2.175"
Remington 1.937"
Sharps vary at either 1.125" or 2.28125"
Savage 1.125"
Bullard 1.125"

From James Grants "Boys Single Shot Rifles":

If I was to own just one single shot rifle book, I think it would be this one.  Followed by "single Shot Rifles", and "More Single Shot rifles".

Those are the most referred books I own for rifles, for cartridges the two most used are "Cartridge of the World" (an older edition more than the newer one) and "Designing and Forming Custom Cartridges" by Ken Howell.

I have roughly 80 gun reference books, and those are the most useful.

Great. Those will do. Thanks much. Time for me to invest in a series of books.
