I called MVA for High Wall parts just Monday and was told "All our parts interchange with originals". But when I asked to order the tang screw and upper sight plug screws she told me they don't carry the plug screws, and I should contact Wyoming Armory for both screws.
I called C Sharps and have both screws headed to me.

"Tang screw" Are you talking about the wood screw?

I have double sets and a long tailed sear on order from MVA. I assume my two original screws that hold it in an action will work.

CPA also has the wood screws for the tang and the butt plates.  Interestingly you can also get a highwall flat mainspring from them.

I have purchased many MVA parts and they typically fit as advertised.  Early on I bought a single set trigger and had to sand it down in thickness to fit which was fine but the hole for the trigger catch spring was not drilled deep enough to fit their spring. It could have been drilled deeper, but I had a shorter spring.  My biggest disappointment is that their High Wall hammer, while functional is actually a low wall one which is about 3/16" short.  They did take it back no questions asked.  This long tail sear is not the right shape compared to the two originals in my rifles.

"I'm confused. Going by your pictures posted here, it looks like a simple chore to bend and forge the MVA sear to the same exact shape like the original sear. Two parts being exactly the same, your triggers should work when set or unset. Does that make sense?"

The sear could be modified but my comment is that the MVA one is not even close to being a drop in fit.  The tail is twice as thick and not at the right angle.  I will try to make it match an original. I should have taken a side by side photo of the two. I may pull the original out again since it is supposed to rain for most of the next week.  I got the deck of the ark done today. Not sure when I add on a keel or bow. I have a sneaky feeling they sent the wrong kit. Not my fault.  The wife ordered it.

Okay, MVA not a drop in fit. You are using Zettler triggers not Winchester triggers.

The MVA sear works with Winchester triggers? No? Yes?

I have swapped so many parts lately I can’t remember. I will install the MVA into my 32-40 DST and try it. It definitely sits higher than an original sear.

Drum roll please ..............
Wes Turner asked:

The answer is.......  Well YES.

The MVA sear in my DST high wall will trip the hammer when using the set triggers, BUT it will not allow the sear to disengage from the hammer without setting the triggers first.
BUT after putting the original back in, it does not trip the hammer without setting the trigger first either.  So my issue with the Zettler triggers may be solved.  I can replace the original sear in one of my rifles with a MVA one.  Not ideal, but it works.

Hope that makes sense. My head hurts.
