Please help with identifying model of this Ballard

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
I've seen references to various Marlin Ballard Model numbers, i'e No 5 or Ballard Pacific etc.

This is a 'CAST' receiver rifle

So my Ballard has a three line marking on the left side, it reads:
MARLIN FIRE ARMS CO CO NEW HAVEN CT. USA
PATENTED FEBRUARY 1875.
BALLARD'S PATENT NOV. 5. 1861.

"32 Long" stamped on top flat near tulip
Serial Number 34789

This is a 32 rimfire with a reversable firing pin

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
THX

Bob

PS
I need to find a couple of replacement screws...

Sounds like you have a Number 2 Ballard.

Sam Simmons of Pocahontas, AR makes excellent Ballard screws. You can find him on Ebay or Gunbroker.

Thank you...!

I did a search on the subject and found a old thread (that I started) from 4 years ago on the same subject which I had forgotten about completely.

Back then there were numerous helpful comments...
Thanks to all that contributed.. Then and now..!

I should be embarrassed that this is ground I already covered 4 years ago.

Every once in a while I find an old project I never pursued at the time only to try and remember where I left off. arrrg..

Here is link to that old thread if interested:

While I can't comment on Mr. Simmon's Ballard screws, I have used him for several projects.  So I can testify that he does very fine work at reasonable prices, and he and stays on the job until both he and you are satisfied.
