Sadly Vall, I don’t have that problem as nobody has gifted a rifle to me. Hint hint

I've only got one rifle gifted to me, but have a half dozen nice handguns that were gifted to me.
This was the last one I inherited. A S&W No. 3rd variation that has been in the same family since new in the 1870's. Looks barely used.

The others are a 1911 Remington Rand setup for Camp Perry and cam with provenance including pictures of my friend's father receiving his trophy, plus a bunch of spares used during the matches he shot on the Navy team.
Then a 1964 dated Colt 1911 complete with a brand new 1964 dated Ace  Conversion kit. And a like new 1952 S&W .38/44 Heavy duty in it's original gold box with a spare barrel and cylinder ordered with the gun. And the rifle, an 1893 Marlin takedown in .25-36M I once owned and my friend left back for me.

Trust me I don’t want to sell any of my guns but unfortunately for some unforeseen circumstances I do have to. I will need to downsize my collection from just shy of 40 to about 10.
