Questions about interesting sporting Borchardt

I acquired this a couple of years ago and am going to get it shooting next week.  I would like to know exactly what it is.  If you can shed some light on it please let me know.
It's a heavy 30" octagon barrel with no sharps markings in 45-70.  There is a stylized B on 1 barrel flat and 78 under the forearm.  It has a full buckhorn barrel sight

Stylized "B or R"

The rifling is very strong with roughness for the first 3" in front of the chamber
