It appears to be a Union Hill #8 and the image is far too small for me to give you an evaluation. Plus bore info, and info on the full length scope could change the value significantly. If that scope is what I think it is, it could be worth a couple thousand alone if optics are good.
Are there any markings on the scope, and what's the length and tube diameter?

That's the maker I thought the scope was by! WM Malcolm scopes, especially long tube, get big money, and I'd expect that scope with clear optics and good crosshairs to be at least $2k.
Still need to see closeups of the stock, and bore description to give a "guesstimate".

I think that Malcom is missing an eyepiece.

Here’s a picture of mine…

I smell what you’re stepping in. Not really familiar with these rifles to be honest. This was given to me by a dear friend. I have been trying to figure out what it is and worth for a while. The scope is in good shape, still has cross hairs and magnification.

It is as I mentioned, a Ballard Union Hill No. 8 rifle. This particular one is the standard base model with plain wood and no checkering. Some got optional pistol grip checkering, and some got PG and forearm also checkered. Some got upgraded wood also; it just depended on what the customer paid for or asked for.
The Wm. Malcolm scopes had various changes over many decades they were offered, and I think yours is fine as is. If the scope wasn't on your Ballard it would have had a midrange vernier tang sight, and a windage globe front sight as standard. Without the scope, and an excellent bore I'd expect to see your No. 8 Union Hill sell around $2500 or so. The scope is a solid $2000 alone, but can't separate it from the gun unless you bought iron sights for the gun. Together I'd expect it to be $4000-$4500 if the bore is excellent.

Your Union Hill also likely has the "Marlin Firearms Co." rollstamp on the left side of the receiver as it's a fairly high serial number. Can't see for sure, but maybe in the 21000 range? If so it was likely built around 1885-86 era I'd guesstimate.

I appreciate the knowledge, you know your BALLARD’s. Where would be the best place to sale the rifle?

I agree that putting it here would be best. But you'll need to participate here to be able to do a for sale ad here.
It's too bad that you wont keep such a generous gift from your friend. I personally wont ever sell any guns that were gifted to me.

Sadly Vall, I don’t have that problem as nobody has gifted a rifle to me. Hint hint
