Harris Schuetzen Match

We had a failure at the border and a couple guys from Wyoming snuck across and ended up in Harris at our Schuetzen match last weekend. A great turnout of 24 shooters and a good time. Maybe Bruce will be along to add to this. He has done a fine job building this match into what it is today and my hat is off to him.

Bob,
The wind blew from the west and we hoisted the sails and drifted right past the border guards.   Grin  I've been sneaking across borders frequently for the past two months and shooting some matches, fortunately I'm not very intimidating with my scores and they've let me play. Wink
It was real good to to see you again and nice to put a few more faces with names on this forum.  Hope to continue this wandering a bit more.
Bruce and Gerald did put on an exceptional match and I hope to return again.

Kurt,
It was posted in the announcements back in April and my recent interest in the game has me watching these announcements more and more.

Etna Green is on my radar but it's just on the edge of too far away at this time, maybe next year...

Wow, I didn’t realize one of our shooters was from Wyoming…how great was that? He loaned me his Swiss Army knife to pull my target staples, but we didn’t introduce ourselves….opoops!

Wyoming is my favorite state, not my home state of socialist run Minnesota (thank you, Tim Walz). I’ve hunted Mule Deer and Pronghorn (Antelope) starting in 1977 up until 2018. The people there are terrific and the terrain is really interesting. I’ve gone to the same ranch every year, 20-miles north of Lusk.

I notice in the BPCR bi-monthly journal frequent reference to the Wyoming Scheutzen Union match results. It’s always interesting to learn about our favorite shooting activities around the country.

Sorry we didn't Tom! When you show up in a new area, new names and faces become a blur.  It generally takes me two or three matches before I get it straight - worse with age too.  I do have an association now to put with your forum name, Thanks.

Greg it was good to meet you and Dean and put a face to a user name and as long as you guys don't improve your shooting too much, you are always welcome back.... Shocked
