Scope Mount Repair

Well....I know Iron Sight and Parsons repair scopes and mounts. Does anyone else? The wait time from Iron Sight is 8-10 months and Parsons who knows.
So my brother in law's Lyman STS rear mount will not tighten to the scope block. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank You,
Scott

The scope has screwed into the block for years. I think it may be an issue with the small screw inside of the large screw knob.

You could try Bob Seipp in Penn. 973-714-7958. He's really good at such things.

The repair could be as simple as ordering a replacement clamping screw from Steve Earle. I needed one for a front sight that wouldn't clamp down. Fit perfect..

This shot shows an allen head set screw that i believe keeps the threaded shaft that the clamping 'nut' screws in to from turning.  Mine set screw will not turn and I don't want to try and loosen it, but it would be worth seeing if yours may be loose and not securing the horizontal screw.
