Lever ball?

I would like to add a wood ball to the lever on my Japanese Browning 1885. I do not want to do a large lever so I am thinking of something "inlet" to surround the lever a bit and be secured with one screw. Anyone made one or have a pattern?

If your rifle is not in 7.62 and you can't hit what you are aiming at with de-linked machinegun ammo you are a pretender.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

Buy a Ballard; easy to put a ball on their levers!

not a ball, but this one has been on the the lever since at least WW2, after which it was purchased by the man I got it from about forty years back. May have been on since who know when. I don't use it, but leave it as I got the rifle way back then. Its biggest use it to drasw the attention of the folks at the range from commenting on other flaws the rifle has.   Roll Eyes

I am thinking of something to sort of surround the lever and be held with one srcew going from side to side rather than with a thru-screw to the lever

Always found them to be ugly, the round corners look like the results of a home gunsmith's polishing to me. To paraphrase Whelen: Only strong rifles are interesting  Wink

seems to me that way you envision will take double the inletting as the mounting on my ol' 'wall got. maybe best you get a chunk of ebony, ivory or such and yer whittlin' knife. let us see it when done.
