Stevens Sight ID and Value

I would like to get your take on this unmarked tang sight off of a Stevens 44-1/2.  I looks like the New Mid Range Vernier sight in my reprint of a Stevens Arms catalog.  Any guess as to its rarity and value?

Thanks

Jack

I have rear sight which size wise looks the same as yours . It came with the 44 1/2 which I acguired some years ago
Mine has windage and elevation devices , very well made and functions nicely, I too would like somebody to answer the above questions

American Rifle Sights book calls it a 102. Lists rarity as a 2-3 which means it's not that rare. In really nice condition I see them at around $200-$225. Yours is missing much finish and I'd expect it to be around $125. The mid-range vernier with lead screw get the better prices.

Thanks Vall,
The dings and dents and patina should add value Smiley. I guess I will see how eBay buyers value it

Concur with above, it is a Stevens Model 102 Vernier. Most common of the Stevens factory tang sights. I see them sell 125-150. Maybe a little more at auction but then you are paying %. Regards, Chris

This model must use the invisible markings feature.

I found this photo on Guns International and realized that my sight had the 2 lines (OK not a vernier scale) but they were on the other side of the slide.  I turned it around to match.

This model just had the hash marks, but no numbers to correlate to the marks. They made another model of this graduated peep with numbers like their Mid-Range vernier also had.

So they weren't invisible?
