	That's an old style breech block. When were they replaced with the cut-down type? I thought the market for single shots was depressed. Will that sell? All us geezers are getting old, very few replacement geezers taking our places.

One reason is the increasing popularity of .22BPCR around the country. Many are getting rebarreled with high-quality barrels with match chambers, which are the plans for the Miroku Win. 	I saw and handled this rifle at Morris's shop in Montana. It is absolutely beautiful, guild quality work in every aspect.

	Beautiful rifle and stock! I've tried to get my grandson interested in 22lr and single shot rifles but his dad shows no interest in them. He's a Marine vet from the Iraq war and thinks semi-autos are the only answer to target shooting and hunting. Maybe I should sell my 1885 Highwall, my Ruger #1, my Sharps carbine rifle and my Savage Crackshot since the tradition of "one shot, one kill" will seem to die with me.

	Will that sell? My impression is that most of the guns offered by Hallowell are pricey, many considerably so. That particular low-wall has been on their site for well over a year, likely at least two. Still, as Bob used to say, There's always hope!. Bill Lawrence

	It's really pretty, but I can't see anyone ever paying anything close to that price. If you found a Low Wall action you could get one made up for less.
