Uberti High wall coil spring replacement

Hello everyone,
I had to replace the coil spring on my Uberti Low wall. Their coil spring does not have the ends of the spring pointing left and right but straight ahead. I got it installed, but the ends are sticking out. The ends are curved,( my guess is to aid in installation, but what do I know) and its the curved part that is sticking out. I think I have it installed correctly but since I have never done this before I am not 100% certain. Before I cut the ends of the spring off I want to make sure I am on the right track. If anyone can confirm, I would appreciate it.
Thanks!

From "
Blazing Saddles": "Wont somebody help that poor man?"

The fact that I have no  replies to this question might indicate that breaking the coil spring doesnt happen that often which is a good thing. I cut the ends of with a Dremel cut off wheel and de-burred the ends and it works fine, which was the obvious answer but just wanted to make sure I wasnt making a mistake. I have another problem with the half -cock notch listed separately, any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
