.32 Ideal chamber reamer
May 11th, 2025 at 5:32pm
Print Post
After some years, I've finally decided to start reconditioning a Hepburn #3 that frankly has nothing going for it but a tight, problem-free action.
I'm planning on relining the shot-out barrel to .30 Ideal (because I want to...that's why).
My question for the community is: does anyone know where to find a reamer for this?

Pacific tool does not have one listed but most likely can make it.

I had a reamer built at Pacific tool years ago. But with brass costing about $1.50 first batch...then$2.50 each. They werent holding up very well. Had a new reamer built, 32-357 Max with 1/2" straight neck if I wanted to do fixed also. Has worked out well.  Next reamer have 1/4" straight at base  so that you can size brass easily in shell holder. Have custom Hornady dies also.   Within one grain of original case! Bomb proof, the brass will last forever.....

Have around 100 RMC once-fired cases from an estate sale, and I see they still offer them at the bargain price of $5 each in 20 case lots.
Yeah, that sounds like a lot, but their stuff lasts forever if you don't abuse it.
