Spirit Level Dry?

I was just looking at a rifle I have with an MVA barrel spirit level and noticed it is dry or empty. Is this common? I purchased the level in 2019 and would have thought it would have a longer life?

If your rifle is not in 7.62 and you can't hit what you are aiming at with de-linked machinegun ammo you are a pretender.

Not common, but not completely unknown, either.  Sometimes one of the little caps will loosen slightly, allowing the level vial to move in its holder.  Enough recoil out at the end of the barrel and the vial will crack.  I had to get a new vial from Lee Shaver once when it happened to one of his front sights.
