I don't remember who suggested it - may have been multiple people - but Thank You to whoever suggested the Shinto wood rasp.  What a great tool, 
coarse on one side and fine on the other!

A friend was kind enough to give one of those. I have an upcoming stock project that will be it’s first test drive.
