Parallax Setting for .22 bpcr

Is it necessary to have a separate parallax setting for each distance when shooting.22 bpcr, i.e., 50, 100, 150, and 200 meters to achieve the best results or do you recommend taking the the parallax out at one distance? If at one distance, which one? Thanks, Tom

When I shot High Power Silhouette, to 500 meters changed parallax for the 4 distances, Rimfire 40 to 100 kept the scope on 100.

Offhand Schuetzen adjusted the scope for 200 yards. However gallery 50 yards either squib CF or switching barrel to RF  same scope re set parallax.

Lot depends on the scope though. Most modern scopes are marked distance, I found them to be off actual, Leupold particularly. Micrometer marked like Unertl’s or Weaver  “T” scopes can be adjusted precisely

Better to check and record Parallax in practice sessions. Not something to be doing match day.

Another thing about parallax.

My observation lower power scopes don’t need or have parallax adjustments. My Unertl 3 x small game does not have parallax adjustment. 5 x MVA does adjust on the objective lens but it seems to make little change as you turn. 12 x Unertl, 16x Weaver T and  20 x Lyman STS all adjusted & needed it at different distances
