R 2 lovell

I was at a gun show this morning and picked up some brass. There was 8 cases in R 2 lovell and 5 sases of remington 25-20 ss for 15.00 dollars.  When I got home I found that the lovell cases had split necks, can this brass be used for any thing? Thought I made a good deal,guess I should have checked closer.

There are a couple of 32 pistol cartridges they might work for depending on the split.

Ndnchf would probably have a use and appreciate them.

this is true, just thought the cases could be cut at the neck and the body could be used for a smaller case or something,

The case can work for most of the early 32 cartridges that used a heeled bullet. These were mostly pistol. It will depend on length after trimming past the spilt.

32 Colt, long  and short. 7.6 Mauser has a couple versions that they will work for. Possibly a 32 extra long Ballard.

.32 Colt, .32 Short and Long and (with hollow-base, inside lubricated bullet), .32 Long Rifle.

Get the lengths from Cartridges of the World.  It's handy to have a .32 Short or Long Colt revolver or a rifle in .32 Long centerfire if you have a .25-20 SS rifle, so you can recycle the split necks.

A gentleman that goes by scharfe has asked for them,so I'm sending them his way.  I knew if I asked about them someone would know what they could be used for. I hate to throw out brass.  john
