Winchester A-5 mount parts needed

I have an unusual scope arrangement that appears to be a Weaver model 330 scope with  Litschert 6X power booster.  To make it more unusual it is set in what I believe to be Winchester A-5 externally adjustable bases. There in lies my problem in that the rear base seems to be missing the extended spring that keeps the scope tube pressed against the spring loaded adjuster heads.  I would like to find a source for the spring.  If it would help I can add a picture of what I have because I may be wrong about what it is. Any help will be appreciated.  Thank you

If you're talking about a rear mount that looks like this one, and the spring you need is the wire spring shown, then you can get one from MVA.

If not, post a pic of the mount you have.

Assuming the "grasshopper" spring on the rear mount under the scope tube is what you are referring to, I expect Montana Vintage Arms should have some.  Their phone: 406-388-4027

You can also buy some piano wire and bend them up yourself. I'd guess something around .040"-.045" wire would work.
