Here is the action I got from Gun Broker.  It has an 8" barrel stub and came with a nice musket stock and marbles tang sight.  I replaced the block with one I had with the horizontal pin holding the firing pin in.  I may just sell this fat pin one just because.  I could bush it but.....

I haven’t lost all my marbles yet but there is definitely a hole in the bag somewhere.

Your rifle sounds very promising, 30 years ago there were a bunch of machinists/shooters who were experimenting with wildcat cartridges using 357 Maximum. These were made for specific loads and were used with a wad. You might want to talk to some of the folks who shoot 32 Miller Short or similar calibers.

You guys are killing me with all the high wall pictures. I'm going to have to get another one. Missed on a 40-82 a couple of years ago at the Tulsa show. It's still bothering me.  Grin

Bob,
I have a 32 Miller short with a short barrel.  I got it from Bob Zimmerman's estate.  Westerner said Bob and the previous owner could not get it to be competitive.  I have not really put a ton on lead through it yet though.
