Favorite in 25 auto ?

I have a chance to pick up a Favorite in 25 cal. that needs the barrel lined and I just happen to have the right size liner on the shelf with a .250" groove diameter. The extractor may be a little fun and the firing pin will need to be moved. Looks like chamber pressure is close to 22 LR. This will be a test to see if the little action can take it. I have already done one in 32 S&W and it seems to work well.

I have a Stevens 44 in 25 auto. It's a parts gun, I used a .25 RF Stevens barrel that was set back and chambered in. 25 auto. Since the 25 auto has a semi rimless case, the extractor was left a little proud of the chamber with careful hand fitting. It's a little tricky loading a round in the chamber, but the cartridge is short enough to insert the round past the extractor and get the extractor behind the rim so the action will close. Of course the barrel has a .257 groove so I use bullets as cast from a 252435 mold, which are likely a little under size. It shoots okay although I haven't shot it much. I think a .25 auto would work fine in a favorite.

I'm thinking a spring loaded extractor that can snap under the rim.
