I always called about 4:30 PM Ok. time and Dave would be taking a smoke break and he talked a long time. Usually had to apologize and excuse myself at some point. When I talked to him about having a stock set done for my engraved Ballard barreled action he said he had a blank set aside for a Ballard he was doing for himself and thought my gun deserved it more. So he had it shaped and sent it to me for my project.

	Here are the latest pics I have of the rifle. When I got it, Mike Bassett sold it to me with the original plus a second buttstock. The original had a rh cheekpiece and I'm a lefty. I had Mike remove the cheekpiece and refinish the stock. It came out really nice and has much prettier wood than the other stock.

	Same here, Dave did a lot of work for me on Ballards and Hepburns. Mike carved out probably 8 or 10 different stocks. Still miss Dave and Pam. This is a photo of Dave and his grandson at the Tappen Hill range.
