The addiction is real

I was reorganizing the safes the other day and it occurred to me that I have accumulated more than a couple of single shot - falling block rifles in the last year. I usually don't have a lot to contribute but this is one of my favorite forums to peruse and I wanted to thank those who have assisted me in getting some of these 'back on the range. I looked back and my first post was 10 months ago!

Here's the collection so far. From the top - 22 Hornet, 219 Wasp, 218 Bee, 22 Magnum, 17 HeBee and 25 Hornet.

Yes my friend. It is a malady suffered almost daily by the majority of us...

Don't wait too long between purchases or you'll go through those ugly withdrawals!

My doctors said to buy one high wall and call him in the morning.

I haven’t lost all my marbles yet but there is definitely a hole in the bag somewhere.

I could be in that situation if there were any highwalls in the north east!  Scarce as hens teeth!

I'm happy to be in good company here.

When the last one showed up, my wife said 'What does this one do that the other ones don't do?" I asked her why she doesn't carry the same purse every day, they all perform the same function.

I just wish I had more time to shoot them, a couple of these are ongoing projects and haven't been fired (by me) yet. I figure that by the time I make it to retirement I'll have a lifetime worth of work to do in the gun room. I find much more enjoyment in project rifles versus some of the customs I have - it's just not as rewarding when they come ready to shoot I suppose.

That's about right. I was really struggling to keep them organized last year then my reloading mentor offered to help haul and install another safe in the basement. Bought me some more time.

I try to close out one project before moving on to the next. (obviously not working) With my work schedule it can take time. I'm trying to catch up though!
