Does anyone have sketches that illustrate the problems when a tang sight is mounted so it is can't to one side or the other?
If your rifle is not in 7.62 and you can't hit what you are aiming at with de-linked machinegun ammo you are a pretender.

I don't have a sketch but if your tang sight leans to one side or the other, as you increase elevation, your windage will also move. Picture the leaning tower of Pisa. If your looking at the lean, try drawing a straight line from the base up. As you go up, you have to go over to keep the line on the outside edge of the tower.
Your rear sight will work the same way, just not as pronounced depending on the lean.

Right, I know that. I am looking for some sketches so I don't have to create them.

The way I fix this is to put the rifle in a vise with the bubble in the front sight “in the middle”. Then shim the rear sight so that it is vertical, using a bubble level. Piece of cake....
