Very interesting gun! Side hammer feurerstutzen.

If your rifle is not in 7.62 and you can't hit what you are aiming at with de-linked machinegun ammo you are a pretender.

The nicest looking Werndl I've ever seen.

Wish I could speak & read German. Was stationed in West Berlin for 3 years, but never picked up the language.  Dale.

This reminded me of when I was young and easily confused (now I'm old and easily confused) and I had seen pictures (but not a rifle) of a Werndl and a Werder. When I finally came across one (or the other) I couldn't remember whether it was a Werndl or a Werder. Finally I made myself think of a little reminder - the Werndl has a turndl. I have only seen one or two Werders and was confused by their operation. I have seen quite a few Werndls, most often a sporterized military. Only one of those came anywhere near the sleek beauty and elegance of this one and it wasn't that close.

You should have found yourself a "long haired dictionary". I had one, when we met I spoke perhaps 20 words in German. When we split 3 years later I was fluent enough we knew we did not belong together Grin
