RB Sporting Rifle Forearm Screw Location

Hello All
I finished inletting the sporting rifle forearm on my Swedish RB. I'm getting ready to drill the forearm and dovetail the forearm mounting lug onto the barrel. I'm trying to determine an appropriate location for attaching the forearm to the barrel.
Pictures of original sporting rifles show the location to be closer to the tip of the forearm rather than in the middle.
Is there a general consensus as to where I should place the screw and lug?
Thanks in advance.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

Measuring some of my originals the forearm screws are right at 4" back from the end of the steel forearm tip. But I have one set of stocks from the 1997 run on a Roller I built up and on those Remington put the screw 3.375" back from the end.

Thanks Marlinguy. That will give me a rough idea of placement. Now I need to figure out top-dead-center on this round barrel to hand cut the dovetail. I think that I will place the barrel in a vise with the octagonal breach level and work from there.
