Thanks Scott for putting this on!

I'm in, and since I haven't shot a rimfire rifle for 11 years, except to function test in the shop, I figured I'd go to the range and make sure it will work.  Took the Ballard I'm going to shoot, and also the ballard I just finished to test.  Shot at 100 yards.

I'm going to set the bar pretty low, this is all you will have to beat to not be in 42n'd place:

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

I sighted in on the black side, flipped it over and shot clockwise from target 2.  The wind was about 3 to 5, but the shooting area is enclosed on 3 sides, and no wind flags.  I absolutely could not judge the wind, couldn't even tell if it was blowing or not, nor the direction.  it gradually shifted more from the right, by the end of target 3, it was starting to blow the bullets off the left side, which continued to target 1, with one not even on paper, where I made a sight adjustment, and then went off to the right severely as the wind switched and blew all the way over to the sighter.

The ballard with iron sights didn't do particularly well, same wind conditions as the last of the other targets.

Nothing spectacular, but will be fun to shoot the match.

Looks like the targets I shot last week
It's been at least six years since I shot a match and am just as rusty. I'm just going for the fun.and experience meeting fellow shooters. I'll be #43 out of 42 shooters.
