Help with identifying some firing pins
Oct 11th, 2024 at 6:59pm

Once again eBay has delivered me some mystery items.  I bought a lot of firing pins which had 2 high wall ones and these three.  The seller thought the top one was for a Remington and that one might be for a LC Smith.  Any thoughts?

Thanks

Jack

The bottom one looks like a Worn striker Ballard

Unfortunately it looks more like this.  Not sure if the Sterling one is hollow though.

Aww , I think you’re correct, but it sure has similarities. It is much smaller I noticed in diameter than the Worn.

It would be worth more I assume if it were for a Ballard. I will probably put them back on eBay and see what happens.  The lot I won had 2 high wall pins   One standard one that looks new and the other a large tip pin that was machined to work for both versions of the breech block, the one with the pin retaining screw and the earlier one with a horizontal cross pin.
I will put these 2 on here for sale first just in case but the larger eBay exposure is more likely to find a buyer.
Thanks Rodney

I will keep you in mind buy I bought it for someone else.  I am pretty sure his new auction find has the cross pin large tip firing pin.  He hasn't had a change to take it apart yet as he is out of town.  Are you looking for a fat tip one or a cross pin one?
