Typical cost for Color Casehardening

Curious about current costs for color casehardening on a rifle actions. I am looking for replies from persons who have actual had it done in the last year or so and on what action and by who.
I am assessing if I will used 8620 or 4140HT for a project I have. If I use 8620 then that would require CCH while 4140HT requires no other hardening.

Lynn,

I had a Stevens Favorite action done early this year for $200. By Nice Old Doubles.  Photo 1

Remington 1894 SxS late last year.  $325  But had a bunch of other parts specially blued, which are included in this amount.  By Nice Old Doubles.  Photo 2

Remington #7 was 3 years ago, by Allen Springer.  $185   Photo 3

Then a different process than you may be thinking.  Fraser Rook done with the Cyanide process last year by, this might surprise you, C.Sharps.  $125.   Photo 4

You can probably save some $ if you do the prep work.
Also check here for color case,

I forgot to add, all my examples were polished by me to 400.
Thanks John.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

I've had Al Springer color case numerous actions for me. I always polish the parts out too, and Al gets them done super fast. He told me years ago if he gets unprepped parts they get in line with current projects, but if they're ready to case he puts them in the week he gets them with other parts. So I usually get my parts back within 30 days of sending them to him.
