38-55 The Inexpensive way

My post about my Hepburn in 38-55 caliber drew a ton of questions. For folks that want to get into this caliber inexpensively....Buy a Lever action in 30-30. They can be had in a Winchester Model 94 for peanuts. Then send it to (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) and have him rebore and chamber in 38-55. I had him do two barrels for me, a Model 94 that I bought for $100 and an old, shot out barrel I hade for a Stevens Model 44 1/2....Both shoot great. And a fun project....
