That is a concern of mine with this design and I'll definitely bear this in mind using it...
Pete, 
I started this leaving considerable material on it, your picture of the seater in the action gave me proportions to work off of.  If there is any way you could lay a small scale next to it and snap a picture I'd appreciate it.  The internals are fairly simple but seeing them and the way they mount the case to the seater would be helpful.  Email on the way.
