Working on the first one.  My rear scope block is 1-1/4" from the receiver hence the length.  Tempting to just drill and tap the top of the receiver but Vall would probably never speak to me again Smiley

I think you may be overengineering your breechseaters. This is a pic of my Ballard plungers, the lever is from Russ Weber, however I can usually seat bullets with finger pressure, or the help of a wooden Dowl pin with a ball on the end.

I have one of those too Bob.  Mine needs some work or a net brass head as it has a tendency to pop out so I have to reach under the action with my left hand and use two fingers to hold it in.

Mounted on the rifle.  Next step is the cam seater.  I am going to start with a wood prototype.

Is that scope block there for looks or? Way to high.  To far forward also.

Thank the smith for the location.  It wouldn’t do any good to move it back since I would have to move the front block too. I will probably mill out the adapter to lower the block.

Take the block off, then using a dovetail cutter make your piece into a scope block. If you don't have a dovetail cutter can do it with a fly cutter.

Oh, you set the rear block to get 7.2 spacing? Oh, so what's an inch give or take anyway?

Not moving the front block won’t allow the scope to move farther back anyway so no use moving the rear block.
I could D&T a half dozen more holes like some of my barrels.

I just got done adding two new holes on this rifle. No choice, had to be done. Not going to cover anything up. No sense trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear. If anyone says anything I'll say I got it from Jack and Jack got it in Canada.

At this point in time, the rifle has twelve holes drilled in the barrel, thirteen if we count the bore.
