I think many here would agree that the Sun does not only rise and set on a Hiwall. Personally, I prefer Hepburns.

Normally model 1885 Winchester single shot rifles are commonly referred to as either a "High Wall" or a "Low Wall" The hi wall receivers have just that a high wall and the low wall receivers have the low receiver walls. High Wall rifles are commonly rifle caliber guns while the low wall guns are pistol caliber while there is a few out there that are like 32-40 caliber but normally pistol calibers. Hope this helps. Maybe someone can provide pictures.

Just to be clear (or, given my lack of clarity in my last post) I'm NOT talking about Winchester 1885s. 

I'm curious about what the HW stands for there in the listing on the auction sight.
