Could some one make me a rough sketch of a 1915 Stevens Favorite firing pin and give all relevant dimensions, including tip size, diameter , length, retaining slot, etc?  Thanks, wyoold

I know you are looking for drawings the 1915 version, which I don’t have, but do have the earlier version.  I don’t know if they are the same, but here’s my rough drawing for the early pin.  Sorry, no retaining groove but I always fit them to the block anyway, it’s easy enough to do.  Hope it helps.

Most breech blocks by now have had a hard life. The hole is usually wallowed out etc. The dim's Bob offered is a good ref. but you will have to adjust accordingly for a proper fit. I assume you have a lathe?

I guess I didn’t look at this drawing very close before posting it.

When I built the Favorite shown in this thread attached.  I had some issues with the firing pin hanging up on the bottom of the shell head when closing the gun.  So, I made the pin as shown in the drawing for a spring return.  Thus the front step.  Overall dimensions should work though.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

Wisners Gun Parts sells the firing pins, and has a description of differences in models to ensure the right pin.

Thanks   for the replies, but the 1915 is a bit longer than the 94.  Wisners is out as well as other parts suppliers.

I have a partially completed pin for a 44 that just needs to be cut to length and have the screw cutout done.  I can send one to you if you’d like.  The diameter of the body and tip are slightly smaller than Bob’s drawing.
