44-77 brass wanted

Looking for 44-77 Sharps brass with the “.085 rim thickness for an original Remington sporting rifle, or .43 Spanish with the thicker rim.

Also looking for a die set for the 44-77 (and please no “Capt. Obvious” replies), no one has them in stock and I don’t want to wait 8 months or longer. For now I’ll use my .43 Spanish die set with a .446 expander.

Thank’s in advance - John

Check out Rocky Mountain Cartridge Co. Since I'm a Newbie I can't post their website.

Track of the Wolf as stated ($4 per case).Plus, just keep this thread going. I was in the same boat last year after going 44/77 free to three rollers and one Sharps in it. It is out there, just keep posting to different groups.

Check the Buffalo Arms website to see what they might have on hand, and place a back order if they're out.

As far as dies go I've been using lee 43 mauser dies for the 44-77 for over a decade with good results. You will need a compression die if you load black powder.

Rocky Mountain Cartridge in Worland Wy does a good job with 44-77 brass .

No “Cap Obvious “ answer but I call C&H about a set on backorder and they stated they were in the system and waiting for them to get back from heat treat. Said 8-10 weeks, I should have them.

Thanks TN Longhunter, when I called them a couple of weeks ago I was told the same. Good luck and post when you get yours.
